I didn&#039;t see this information anywhere on the site so....

I&#039;m very interested in porting one of the InnoDB tools to another unique platform, however, the GPL has me concerned.  I don&#039;t really know enough of the GPL but from what I understand anything I do with the source must be distributed.

Since the effort will be significant and very costly is an alternative a commercial license and what is the relative cost for that?

In other words, I would only port the product for sale and would not want anyone just re-selling the modified product.  This would not be a trivial matter nor a minor add-on.
